The pattern

Most teams I come across don't have a tooling problem. The challenge is usually that a small group of people — sometimes just one person — knows how the reports are built. That brings the following risks and limitations with it:

Losing one person is a big risk.

Limited knowledge sharing between report builders.

Limited capacity means reports barely evolve.

New reports take a lot of time to set up.

About me

Joris Buiteveld

I am a Power BI specialist with ten years of experience in data and analytics. I also have a background in procurement as a buyer, which gives me a solid basis for understanding business requirements. I set up data infrastructure, build user-friendly reports and automate the manual work around them.

In 2025 I trained over 100 professionals in-company in Power BI, from building a basic report up to advanced DAX. With my experience as a trainer I make sure knowledge is handed over properly, so development doesn't stop when my assignment ends.
